What are remote farm workers?

Remote farm workers are agricultural employees who perform their tasks from a distance, often using technology to monitor, manage, or assist with farming operations. This can include responsibilities such as data analysis, crop monitoring via satellite imagery, managing automated equipment, or providing virtual support for on-site farm workers. The role has become more common as farms adopt digital tools and precision agriculture techniques, allowing some tasks to be completed without being physically present on the farm. Remote farm workers often need strong technical skills and an understanding of modern agricultural practices.

This role is ideal for someone with prior State Farm experience who enjoys building relationships, assisting customers, and contributing to agency growth.

  • Fully remote
  • Hybrid role: customer service + sales
  • Full-time preferred, but open to candidates seeking fewer than 40 hours per week
  • State Farm experience required
What Youโ€™ll Do:
  • Service existing customer accounts, including policy changes, billing questions, and renewals
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and text
  • Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate insurance products
  • Follow up on leads and opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Document activity and manage tasks across multiple systems
What Weโ€™re Looking For:
  • Prior experience working in a State Farm agency
  • Comfortable balancing both sales and service responsibilities
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Licensed or able to maintain required insurance licensing
This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way while working remotely. Itโ€™s a great fit for someone who understands the pace of a State Farm agency and wants a balanced role that combines service with growth opportunities.
About our Agency:
Our State Farm agency has proudly served the Grovetown and Barnwell communities for more than 13 years. Weโ€™re a high-performing team of 10 and growing quickly, with plans to expand to 14 team members. Weโ€™re looking for people who want more than just a job - individuals who are excited to grow, contribute, and build a meaningful career.
Before becoming a State Farm agent, I served as a college pastor. That experience helped shape the culture of our office today. We believe strongly in investing in people, developing their strengths, and creating a clear path for each team member to succeed and reach their full potential.
For our team, we offer PTO, your birthday off, half-day Wednesdays, a monthly gym stipend, a monthly health stipend, and a 401(k) with company match, along with a supportive and growth-focused environment where development is a priority.
Our culture is fast-paced, encouraging, and built around helping each other improve. Weโ€™re looking for coachable, hardworking, and reliable team players who move quickly, embrace feedback, and believe they still have more potential to unlock. If youโ€™re motivated to grow and want to be part of a team that pushes each other to be great, this could be the right fit for you.

This is a remote position.
