Job description

CAMP DIRECTOR - Workforce Housing
LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work® Certified company, is looking for an experienced Camp Director to lead the complete operation of a remote workforce housing community serving up to 2,000 residents in West Texas. The Camp Director provides senior on site leadership and is accountable for the resident experience, client relationship, safety culture, service quality, business performance and coordinated delivery of guest services, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, maintenance, food service, security, HSE, administration and resident programs. This role leads internal employees, subcontractors and service partners through clear operating standards, disciplined performance management and a strong hospitality culture, all in an effort to deliver a safe, welcoming and reliable community while maintaining focus on LEMOINE's Foundations for Successful Execution. This position is based at the West Texas camp and is not remote or hybrid.
Responsibilities
  • Leads all aspects of the camp operation and coordinates priorities, staffing, shift coverage, procedures, resources and around the clock readiness across every department.
  • Provides direction through Camp Managers and functional leaders, establishes clear expectations and develops a capable leadership team that delivers consistent results across all shifts.
  • Serves as the senior on site client contact and provides concise, credible reporting on occupancy, staffing, safety, resident experience, work orders, cost, risk, service performance and corrective actions.
  • Establishes a hospitality culture that treats residents as guests and ensures consistent room readiness, dining, guest services, resident communications, issue resolution and service recovery.
  • Exercises authority to enforce subcontractor and service partner requirements covering contractual scope, staffing commitments, service levels, key performance indicators, quality standards and invoicing. Addresses underperformance directly, documents deficiencies, requires timely recovery plans and applies contractual remedies when necessary.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance, work order control, repairs, room turns, utility monitoring, life safety inspections, critical inventory and emergency response for camp buildings and infrastructure.
  • Provides operational governance for guest services, MWR, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, food service, security, HSE and administration to ensure safe, clean, responsive and consistent service.
  • Develops and manages budgets, forecasts, labor plans, procurement, inventory and cost controls while protecting safety, service quality and the resident experience.
  • Leads emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, incident response and business continuity, ensuring hazards, events and corrective actions are documented, communicated and resolved.
  • Uses inspections, operating data, resident feedback and client input to identify risk, resolve recurring issues and drive measurable improvement in service, reliability and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in hospitality, business, facilities management, engineering, construction management or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in hospitality, camp operations, facilities or integrated site services, including at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success leading a 24/7 remote workforce housing or comparable austere accommodation operation serving at least 1,000 residents. Experience supporting communities approaching 2,000 residents is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead internal employees through multiple levels of management while holding subcontractors and service partners accountable for scope, staffing, safety, quality, service and cost.
  • Strong working knowledge of facilities maintenance and the full range of hospitality functions, including guest services, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, food service, security and HSE.
  • Experience managing budgets, labor plans, vendor performance, service levels, key performance indicators, operational reporting and corrective action processes.
  • Excellent judgment, communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to assess complex operating conditions, make sound decisions and remain effective under pressure.
  • Ability to work on site at the West Texas camp throughout the assigned schedule, respond to nights, weekends and emergencies, maintain a valid driver's license and satisfy company and client access requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and austere West Texas environment that may include heat, cold, wind, dust, noise, stairs and uneven terrain.
