Job description

Axyde Analytics is recruiting a senior mine-waste, tailings-reprocessing and unconventional-feedstocks specialist for contingent USTDA critical-minerals project-scoping work.
The specialist will assess whether tailings, waste rock, slags, residues, coal by-products, phosphogypsum, produced waters or other secondary resources can support technically credible and environmentally responsible critical-mineral recovery.
Required evidence:
• 15+ years in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, geochemistry, tailings or environmental engineering; advanced technical degree strongly preferred.
• Personal leadership of characterization, sampling, mineralogy, geochemistry or recovery testwork on mine waste or unconventional feedstocks.
• Demonstrated integration of grade/tonnage uncertainty, heterogeneity, geometallurgy, water balance, acid generation/leaching risk, radionuclides or other contaminants.
• Experience evaluating excavation or hydraulic recovery, beneficiation/extraction routes, residue management, closure interfaces and incremental environmental liabilities.
• Ability to develop mass balances, recovery/yield logic, scale-up criteria, CAPEX/OPEX implications and decision-grade risk statements.
• Ability to serve as a technical lead, alternate or independent reviewer based on independence and OCI facts.
Engagement is remote, project-based and contingent on contract award and assignment authorization; no minimum work is guaranteed. Limited travel to U.S. and international locations subject to U.S. Department of State Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories may be required.
