Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns, including:
    • Individuals (Form 1040)
    • Partnerships (Form 1065)
    • S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
    • Trusts and Estates (Form 1041)
  • Research tax issues and identify tax-saving opportunities
  • Assist with tax planning and consulting projects
  • Prepare income tax basis financial statements
  • Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax matters
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a remote environment
  • Utilize firm technology, including: Lacerte, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, ShareFile, and OfficeTools

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of recent public accounting experience
  • Experience preparing individual, partnership, and S corporation income tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred
  • Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
