Job description

Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Sales Manager to support the growth of its Specialty Fluids business, with an emphasis on process oils for a variety of industrial applications. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional looking to advance a career in account management and business development while gaining exposure to a technically sophisticated product portfolio and diverse customer base.

Reporting to the Director of Specialty Fluids and Waxes, the Sales Manager will work remotely and support customers throughout North America. Candidates located on the U.S. East Coast or in the Midwest are preferred. The position requires approximately 30% to 50% travel for customer visits, industry events, and team collaboration.

In this role, the successful candidate will support lead qualification, customer onboarding, account development, and business growth initiatives while developing expertise across HF Sinclair's specialty product offerings. The Sales Manager will partner closely with customers to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships, and contribute to strategic sales objectives that drive long-term business growth.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, process, qualify, and assign all inbound leads across the sales team and distributor partner network
  • Follow up on tradeshow and event-generated leads to drive conversion
  • Accelerate growth in strategic segments (tires, general rubber, polymers, adhesives, asphalt, drilling, agriculture, etc.) and other applications by identifying key targets
  • Develop share-of-wallet opportunities within the existing account base through regular engagement and solution selling
  • Analyze, trend, and act on the sampling program to improve conversion and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to assess sales and freight variances and identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with supply chain, technical services, and product development to create new sales enablers, tools, or process improvements
  • Support account managers in developing proposals, presentations, and RFIs
  • Coordinate new customer setup, distributor business plan execution, campaign rollouts, and contract deliverables
  • Maintain accurate tracking of contacts, leads, opportunities, forecasts, account plans, call reports and impact statements in Salesforce CRM
  • Contribute to market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning

Experience

Minimum 5 years of sales administration or customer-facing experience

Preferred Experience

B2B sales experience, ideally in the petrochemical or specialty chemicals industry

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or chemistry

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
This role has no direct reports and does not include formal supervisory responsibilities.
Work Conditions
  • Fully remote role based in the United States, with a preference for candidates located in the U.S. East Coast or Midwest to support business needs and travel requirements.
  • Up to 50% travel across North America
  • Physical requirements include standard office activities and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
