The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required based on client needs. Key Responsibilities

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at New Horizon, you will provide services primarily to clients battling substance dependence alongside mental health challenges. You will work with individuals who are seeking recovery and who require nuanced psychological support as part of their detoxification process. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply solution-based psychotherapy interventions and techniques, adapting your approach to best meet the diverse needs of each individual.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues alike.
