Job description

Job Title: HR/HCM Business Analyst (Contract) w/ERP experience

Location: Remote 100% (U.S.-based only) 

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension) 

Reports To: ERP Project Manager 

Compensation: $65-70/hour (1099)

Project Overview

As part of its ERP modernization initiative, our client is seeking an ERP HR/HCM Business Analyst to support the full ERP implementation lifecycle, with a focus on leading the implementation for HR, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and Recruiting workflows. This role will support system workflow configuration and implementation: Translating business requirements into functional specifications. Configure selected ERP modules in collaboration with vendor and internal teams. Provide essential insights into system capabilities needed to improve the client's HR and talent systems. Work is fully remote, and deliverables will support the future implementation of a modernized ERP solution.

Must demonstrate experience successfully collaborating with internal subject matter experts and system integration teams.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workflow Configuration and Implementation: Translate business requirements into functional specifications. Configure selected ERP modules in collaboration with vendor and internal teams. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tribal policies
  • Training & Change Management: Lead Change Management effort. Collaborate with Implementation teams to assess the impact and scale of transformation on processes, teams, and stakeholders. Also, the potential risks and challenges. Evaluate the capabilities and resources needed for implementation, such as training, communication, or technology. Develop training materials and conduct end-user sessions. Readiness Assessment: Assess user readiness for upcoming changes and help ensure a smooth transition during UAT and implementation phases. Support stakeholders through operational change, recommending and driving solutions to challenges posed by transformation initiatives.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead User Acceptance Testing effort. Work closely with technology partners to develop and validate UAT test cases that align with business needs. Ensure UAT schedules, outcomes, and feedback are communicated effectively to stakeholders ensuring alignment and readiness for deployment. Validate data migration and reporting accuracy. Resolve issues during testing phases.
  • Business Analysis and Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, requirements specifications, assessments and training materials, to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and the successful implementation of change initiatives. Recommend solutions to bridge gaps, such as process enhancements, technology capabilities, and/or resource allocation, helping the organization move towards its strategic goals. Use data-driven insights to measure progress, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support: Provide hands-on support during go-live. Monitor system performance and user feedback. Optimize configurations and ensure knowledge transfer.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP Implementations, Change Management, Business Analysis, Process Analysis, or related roles.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, recruiting, or HRIS/ATS system support. 
  • Must have HCM ERP implementation experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as Dayforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle, Namely, UKG, or JazzHR 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace and process mapping tools, e.g., Visio

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Competence with Business Intelligence (BI) tools for tracking KPIs and supporting decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated expertise in preparing and delivering presentations to leadership, and in clear, concise documentation that effectively communicates complex information
  • Time Management Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Documentation: Demonstrated ability in producing and managing comprehensive documentation, including Change Management Plans, analysis, assessments, training, implementation and Communication Plans.
  • Performance Indicators: Experience in using data to develop and monitor KPIs and OKRs to align change management efforts with strategic business objectives
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working with diverse teams across multiple business areas, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse perspectives and drive consistent process improvement initiatives.

Experience with Dayforce RSM - ERP (HSM) is a plus!

Travel may be required - 10%
