Senior ERP Project Manager – HR & Payroll Workstreams

Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Senior ERP Project Manager – HR & Payroll Workstreams position supporting Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Salary: $100/hr – $110/hr
Location: 100% Remote (Light Travel to Los Alamos, NM)
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Preferred
Work Schedule: Standard schedule (aligned to program needs)
Clearance: Ability to obtain DOE clearance preferred


🚫 Mandatory Experience Requirement – Read Before Applying

Applicants must meet all requirements below or will not be considered:

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience

  • Direct experience managing HR and/or Payroll workstreams in ERP implementations

  • Proven experience supporting ERP transformation, implementation, or migration projects (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)


Impact

This role is critical to the success of a large-scale ERP transformation (Oracle → SAP S/4HANA). You will lead HR and Payroll workstreams, ensuring delivery aligns with program objectives, governance, and timelines. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, compliance, and enterprise-wide business transformation within a highly regulated environment.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead day-to-day execution of HR & Payroll ERP workstreams

  • Manage scope, schedule, risks, and deliverables aligned with program milestones

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules

  • Coordinate across business, IT, SMEs, and vendors/system integrators

  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies

  • Ensure alignment with program governance and controls

  • Serve as escalation point for workstream-level challenges

  • Drive stakeholder communication and ensure cross-functional alignment


Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong experience leading ERP implementations or migrations

  • Demonstrated experience with HR/Payroll business processes and systems

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional teams

  • Strong risk management, scheduling, and stakeholder communication skills

  • Experience working in structured, matrixed program environments

  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)


Desired Skills
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP environments

  • Experience transitioning from Oracle to SAP or similar ERP platforms

  • Background in federal, DOE, or highly regulated industries

  • Experience working with system integrators and large-scale ERP vendors

  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models


Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of project management experience (ERP-focused)
