Job description

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a part-time Epic Bugsy Analyst to support the configuration, build, testing, and optimization of the Epic Bugsy infection control module. This role partners with infection prevention, microbiology, pathology informatics, and clinical teams to ensure the Bugsy application accurately supports infection surveillance, isolation workflows, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, build, and test the Epic Bugsy module to meet infection prevention workflow needs
  • Collaborate with Infection Preventionists, microbiology/lab staff, and IT teams to translate clinical requirements into system build
  • Support integration between Bugsy and related Epic modules (e.g., Beaker) as needed
  • Participate in project meetings, working sessions, and testing cycles
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support post-go-live
  • Assist with CDC/NHSN reporting workflows and surgical site infection (SSI) tracking configuration, as applicable
  • Attend and support go-live activities on-site, including at-the-elbow support as needed

Qualifications

  • Epic Bugsy certification (required or in-progress, per client preference; confirm with hiring team)
  • Prior experience building or supporting the Epic Bugsy module
  • Understanding of infection control/prevention workflows in a hospital setting
  • Strong communication skills for working with clinical and technical stakeholders remotely
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Available to travel/attend on-site for go-live period
