Title: Technical Writer V (Remote)
Duration: 5 Months
Location: Remote

Only W2 candidates are eligible for this position. Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.
Role is open to remote candidates; however, Ideal candidates would be local to Palo Alto and able to report onsite in a hybrid capacity for 2-3 days per week.
Job Description
  • Update existing documentation to reflect new features, enhancements, and changes to the platform.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Engineering and Product Management, to ensure accuracy and completeness in technical documentation.
  • Work closely with the other members of the writing team to ensure consistency in detail, style, and presentation.
  • Write high quality technical content that effectively communicates complex information clearly, concisely, and without jargon

Experience and qualifications
  • BA degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, a related writing-oriented field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience writing technical content.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Experience documenting public cloud products, Oracle, and Kubernetes.
  • Skill using Oxygen XML Author or a similar product to create documentation in DITA.
  • Ability to manage documentation using Git and GitHub.
  • Experience working with CLI and Linux-like OS is a plus
