Job description

Position Overview

Patient Support Psychotherapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This remote role offers mental health professionals an opportunity to provide high-quality therapeutic services to our diverse client base, all while maintaining a flexible work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.

About the Organization

At Patient Support Psychotherapy, we are committed to empowering individuals through mental health support and counseling. Our mission is to create an inclusive and accessible environment for those seeking guidance and support in managing various mental health challenges. We pride ourselves on providing personalized therapeutic solutions that cater to the unique needs of our clients. Our team consists of experienced mental health professionals who share a common goal of enhancing emotional well-being and fostering personal development.

Work Environment

The work setting is primarily remote, allowing our counselors to connect with clients from the comfort of their preferred environments. Despite the remote nature of the position, we foster a professional and collaborative atmosphere where team members are encouraged to engage in regular meetings, training sessions, and community-building activities. As an outpatient facility, we focus on providing therapy to clients who may have limited access to traditional mental health services, creating a supportive network for both counselors and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapeutic strategies for clients, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of care and support.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, based on individual client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic medical record (EMR) software effectively to document client progress.
  • Participate in collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams, which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize client outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training on emerging mental health research to stay informed about best practices within the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health issues. Many clients may come from vulnerable backgrounds and may have limited access to mental health resources. Through personalized and empathetic care, you will make a significant impact on their lives, guiding them towards better emotional and mental health.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, is essential.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards pertaining to mental health practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using EMR software and technology to enhance clinical efficiency.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competence in therapy is beneficial.
  • A background collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to a substantial salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Access to health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage.
  • A robust referral program to ensure a steady client base.
  • Assistance with billing and documentation, allowing you to focus more on client care.
  • Potential for additional bonuses, including a sign-on bonus discussed during the interview process.
Career Growth Opportunities

Patient Support Psychotherapy believes in nurturing the professional growth of our employees. We encourage ongoing education and skill development, providing opportunities for counselors to advance their knowledge and expertise. We offer pathways for career advancement, including leadership positions within clinical teams and the chance to specialize further in specific areas of mental health care.

Why Join Our Team

Becoming part of Patient Support Psychotherapy means joining a compassionate team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. We value our counselors not only for their professional qualifications but for their empathy and commitment to client welfare. By joining us, you will be a crucial part of a mission-driven organization that positions its counselors to impact mental health outcomes in our community positively.
