This position is a full-time remote role that offers significant flexibility while being part of an integrated team of mental health professionals. You will be working in a supportive outpatient office environment, where teamwork and continuous learning are encouraged. As a remote counselor, you will have access to state-of-the-art digital tools and electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, enabling efficient case documentation and communication with other healthcare professionals.

• Conduct thorough initial consultations with clients to assess their mental health needs and document comprehensive evaluations from the outset of treatment through to conclusion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through structured interviews and psychometric assessments, designing tailored intervention strategies based on individual client profiles.
• Create and facilitate personalized treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating the latest therapeutic techniques and methodologies.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing effective therapeutic models and ensuring a safe, confidential space for clients to explore their challenges.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on feedback and patient needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive and cohesive client care.
• Manage referrals to psychiatrists and other healthcare services for clients requiring additional support, fostering a seamless transition within their treatment journey.
• Proactively identify potential barriers to recovery and employ strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers, helping them navigate the challenges associated with mental health issues.

The individuals you will work with encompass a diverse range of backgrounds and mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. By fostering an empathetic and non-judgmental relationship, you will empower clients to engage actively in their therapeutic journeys and achieve personal growth.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within the state of California.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• A track record of professional experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a commitment to client-centered care.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, ideally AVATAR, to facilitate effective case management and documentation.
• Knowledge of various physical and emotional health conditions, alongside experience in addressing addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with high-level interpersonal abilities and a strong sense of empathy.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a mental health setting, enhancing the effectiveness of client interventions.
• A deep understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications used by prescribing professionals.
• Training in specific therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care practices.

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as a sign-on bonus.
