Its custom designed hazmat buildings and design/build services afford cost-effective solutions for achieving regulatory compliance, supporting manufacturing operations, addressing property loss prevention initiatives, ensuring personnel safety, and providing portable "control rooms" for hazardous and flammable liquid storage. Our buildings are designed specifically for commercial, industrial and institutional clients insuring compliance of the International Building Code (IBC), FM Global Loss Prevention Standards, NFPA 30, USEPA and OSHA.
Job Description
  • Evaluatues electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Confirms systems and components capabilities necessary for safe hazmat handling and controls.
  • Achieve detailed understanding of the Contract documents (drawings and spefications), phasing plans, engineering systems relationships, construction sequencing and project schedule.
  • Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between contractors and subcontractors during construction.
  • Validate design issues related to the hazmat structure engineering and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Assist in the receipt and review of engineering submittals.
  • Log and post all engineering changes and as-built information on field drawings.
  • Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of engineering proposal pricing and change work orders.
  • Coordination and administration of engineering related materials, systems and shop drawing submittals.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Electrical university degree in Engineering. Chemical minor and/or influence in degree a plus.
  • Working knowldege of plans, prints, specifications and schematics associated with trade.
  • 5 years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing construction procedures and practices.
  • Computer literate - master of Cad software a plus.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of International Building Codes (IBC), NFPA 30, USEPA, and OSHA a plus.
