This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager - Data Centers. The Business Development Manager - Data Centers will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the data center industry. Day-to-day tasks include seeking, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers, creating and implementing business development strategies, and achieving sales targets. The role also involves coordinating and collaborating with internal technical and product teams to ensure client needs are met while participating in industry events and conferences.

**This position will be remote/hybrid, and the ideal candidate will need to live near a major airport for traveling purposes**

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering, Business or a related field

  • Business Development and Sales skills

  • Knowledge of Energy Solutions (generators, distributed power, UPSs, BESS, microgrids)

  • Minimum of 5 years experience selling directly into the Data Center industry specifically with Hyperscalers, Colocators, Integrators, Developers, etc.

  • Experience with Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) firms

  • Ability to develop, implement and execute business strategies

  • Relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Analyze opportunities and customer needs

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Conduct Sales Presentations and Product Training

  • Project management and coordination skills

  • Participation in data center industry organizations

  • Provide reconnaissance of competitors' influence and develop a plan to counter their influence

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Experience with SAP, Sales Force or similar CRM systems and data analysis is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Analytical ability to understand key business metrics

  • Self- motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role

  • Ability to define complex problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
