eCommerce Marketing Specialist


A technically competent Marketing Specialist with real work experience of how to manage a commerce storefront and related marketing tools. The focus of the eCommerce Marketing Specialist is to plan, organize and lead the ongoing development of the ecommerce sales department at an already successful technology company


Collaborate with the Director of Sales, Marketing Manager, Purchasing Manager and CTO to expand the existing ecommerce website’s success. The goal of the eCommerce Specialist  is to take this existing site that is already complete with product inventory and improve the marketing through the website, Google Merchant and Google Adwords. In addition, we are looking for the skill set needed to expand our ecommerce to other online sales channels, which would include, but not be limited to Amazon Reseller, eBay, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

Tasks


- Research the existing marketplace, competitors and competitor’s pricing

- Device a pricing plan and listing strategy that leverages our unique product and service offerings, plus our ability to gain more competitive pricing on particular pricing

- Creating pricing plans, marketing and listing approaches to test and optimize over time

- Work with purchasing team to plan pricing based promotions that have to do with negotiated discount pricing with vendor relationships that would be more competitive than established online pricing strategies

- Collaborate with Marketing Manager to plan landing page and marketing assets needed to create an launch updated site pages, landing pages, and marketing assets

- Evaluate and improve the current eCommerce newsletter strategy

-Review and improve the Google Adwords listings with emphasis on creating an improved cost per acquisition

- Work with management to create competitive pricing based marketing efforts that prioritize growth and customer acquisition, while maintaining cashflow objectives

- Research industry insights and interview experts internally to improve how we position our service offering that is promoted on the ecommerce site.

- Interface with Marketing manager for creation of product only newsletters and product-only promotional emails

- Work with Marketing and BD Manager and Creative Director to create new marketing materials.

- Work with CTO and Marketing Manager to evaluating and create video assets to help promote the product details and make information available for customers

- Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.

 - Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.

- Develop and implement procedures for identifying advertising needs.

- Analyze consumer and industry trends.

- Discuss business strategies, practices, or policies with managers.

- Measure effectiveness of business strategies or practices.

- Prepare reports for management.

- Analyze and track company’s marketing and sales kpi’s.

Educational Requirements


Online ecommerce marketing experience, such as store manager, Google Adwords manager, Google Merchant Center, etc. Ideally, 3-5 years experience with online marketing of an already successful ecommerce company

Desktop Computer Skills

Google Adwords- Familiarity with adwords, campaign management, keyword and negative keywords management, geographic and other demographic filters, Cost Per Click

Google Analytics- How to read and analysis search statistics to drive page improvements and landing pages conversion actions

Google Merchant Center- Familiar with how to view competitor pricing information, and revise pricing strategies and invest in specific product marketing listings through Adwords based on information analysis of Google Merchant Center.

Amazon Seller Central-  Capable of listing products successfully that incorporates the options and cost associated with whether the product is shipped from our warehouse or located in Amazon’s warehouse

eBay- Capable of analysis of existing buy it now listings and able to do analysis and strategy development of successful ongoing listings that leverage particular product and pricing advantages available

BigCommerce - familiarity with an online commerce platform, and the ability to edit listings, connect to other third-party tools, such as Google Merchant and Google Adwords, and optimize the way in which the commerce platform leverages other commerce interfaces online.
