Learning Consultant
Reports to: Senior Manager, Solutions Delivery
Location: Remote - United States
The Learning Consultant designs, implements, and evaluates training strategies to enhance employee performance or educational experiences. This role goes beyond traditional course development to create strategic, human-centered learning environments. The Learning Consultant assesses skill gaps, curates content and implements digital-first strategies-such as blended learning, AI-enabled tools, and microlearning-to strengthen capability development and improve organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Needs Assessment: Consult with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
  • Instructional Design: Create engaging training materials, including e-learning, workshops, and blended learning solutions.
  • Facilitation: Deliver training sessions in-person or virtually, and conduct "train-the-trainer" sessions.
  • Evaluation: Measure the effectiveness of training programs using analytics and feedback to drive improvement.
  • Content Management: Maintain and update learning management systems (LMS) and training materials.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Usually 3-5 years in training, instructional design, or L&D roles
  • Skills: Proficiency in LMS platforms, e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), and strong project management skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Delivery is remote with up to 30% of travel required.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $75,000-$90,000. The anticipated annual salary range encompasses both the base salary and the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP) which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
