What is a Remote Duke Energy CDL position?

A Remote Duke Energy CDL position typically refers to a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) job at Duke Energy that allows for certain remote or field-based work. Employees in these roles operate large vehicles or specialized equipment used for utility work, such as transporting materials, equipment, or crews to job sites. Although operational duties are performed on-site, some reporting or administrative responsibilities may be handled remotely. These positions require a valid CDL and compliance with all safety and transportation regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Duke Energy CDL driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Duke Energy CDL driver, you need a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a safe driving record, and knowledge of transportation regulations and utility industry standards. Experience with GPS navigation systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and company-specific dispatch software is typically required.
