Position Summary

As a Compliance Expert - DOT/FMCSA, you'll leverage your industry expertise to influence thousands of transportation professionals through industry-leading content, training, advisory support, and compliance guidance.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted subject matter expert, translating complex federal motor carrier regulations into practical, actionable guidance for customers, business partners, and internal teams. You'll research regulatory developments, analyze real-world compliance scenarios, create educational content, contribute to training programs and events, and provide expert insight that helps organizations reduce risk and maintain compliance.

Job Responsibilities

   Researches, writes, reviews and/or edits material for training, guides/manuals, handbooks, newsletters and on-line services. 
   Provides regulatory knowledge, expert analysis, product knowledge and training support to internal and external customers
   Suggest new products/services and revisions of existing products/services. 
   Actively seeks to stay current with trends and specific developments in assigned subject areas in order to facilitate the above responsibilities. 
   Take advantage of available software and technology in content creation and research/knowledge acquisition.  
   Prepares and delivers webinars and occasionally presentations at outside events. 
   Writes blogs, outside articles for trade publications, white papers, etc. to support Marketing efforts and to demonstrate the company's expertise. 
    Provides industry and product knowledge and researches, develops and reviews material for unique or custom projects to support Technology Solutions, Professional Services, Compliance Products, and sales channels. 
   Maintains pertinent industry relationships. 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to assigned subject matter.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a practitioner, expert, or researcher in the assigned subject matter area.
  • Experience developing written materials.
  • Experience developing and delivering educational/training programs.
  • Industry experience may contribute to the experience thresholds above if appropriate communication skills can be demonstrated.

Computer Skills

  • Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Content Management Systems preferred.    

Other Requirements

  • Knowledge/experience with assigned market/regulatory topics required.
  • Presentation skills, both in-person and web-based.  

Internal J. J. Keller experience requirements may vary from those for external candidates, with consideration given to demonstrated performance, institutional knowledge, and career progression within the organization.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. 

Occasionaltravel: 5% to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training eventsrequired, depending on level and assignment.
