Job Description:

Job Summary
The DOT Compliance Assistant assists the Department of Transportation (DOT) Compliance team with monitoring driver qualification files, maintenance files and creates maintenance work orders.
Responsibilities

  • Monitors driver qualification files
  • Review, correct and upload missing or expired driver qualification documentation
  • Monitors and Requests Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
  • Review and assess Motor Vehicle Records (MVR') for driver approval process
  • Requests pre-employment screening reports on potential new hires
  • Maintains vehicle and equipment maintenance files
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Administrative or clerical skills, preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT driver qualification regulations, required
  • Knowledge of DOT vehicle maintenance filing requirements, required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively interact with vendors and personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic

  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient working in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
