Position Overview

Clearly Heard Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time role allows you to make a significant impact in the mental health field by collaborating with clients from your own remote setting while focusing on providing quality patient care. With a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, this position promises a rewarding career while contributing to the well-being of individuals and families.

About the Organization

At Clearly Heard Counseling Services, we strive to improve access to quality mental health care. Our mission is deeply rooted in eliminating stigma, bridging service gaps, and transforming the culture surrounding mental health treatment. We pride ourselves on being innovative as we partner with community providers and clients, ensuring that care is personalized and comprehensive for each individual we support.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and the ability to maintain a work-life balance while serving clients in the Hermiston, Oregon area and beyond. As an outpatient office, we create a welcoming virtual space where our therapists can focus on what they do best—delivering exceptional mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in weekly collaborative treatment team meetings, actively discussing and setting treatment goals with fellow team members to ensure alignment and effective care delivery.
  • Conduct utilization reviews for various insurance companies, precisely providing essential clinical information to secure approval for treatment plans and ongoing care as required.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients' family members by responding to all inquiries via calls or emails within two hours during business hours and within 24 hours outside of business hours.
  • Coordinate with the Utilization Review and Business Department on matters of authorization and payments, ensuring seamless billing operations.
  • Establish continuity of care by effectively communicating with referral sources and outpatient providers at critical points: admission, midpoint, and discharge.
  • Initiate discharge planning on the day of the client’s admission, including delivering planned discharge sessions to review coping strategies and resources and confirming follow-up appointments.
  • Manage crisis situations with composure, offering support to clients and collaborating with milieu staff to uphold a therapeutic environment.
  • Ensure timely clinical documentation is completed accurately throughout the treatment phase, adhering to the requirement that all documentation is finalized at the point of care.
  • Build and nurture a therapeutic rapport with clients and their families, conducting necessary assessments for risk evaluation, including suicidality and threats of harm to self or others.
  • Facilitate smooth admission assessments for new clients, employing a sense of professionalism and warmth to create an inviting environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed mental health therapist with Clearly Heard Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client population that spans various age groups, backgrounds, and mental health concerns. Your role is central to creating a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and work toward meaningful change. You will implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ultimately promoting better health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited institution (e.g., MA, MSW, PsyD).
  • An independent license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) to practice in the state of Oregon.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a substantial caseload while effectively interfacing with various healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records and communication platforms to streamline processes and documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in outpatient mental health settings or community-based organizations where collaboration and client-centered care are paramount.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution, with the capability to de-escalate situations when necessary.
  • A proven track record of effectively engaging in clinical outreach and conducting program tours to raise awareness and connect with potential clients.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and contributions.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including life and disability insurance, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Professional liability insurance to support your practice and accountability.
  • Employee assistance program for personal mental health support.
  • Minimal paperwork, allowing you to focus more time on providing direct client care.
  • A full caseload that ensures you have a busy and fulfilling schedule.
