Account Executive โ€“ Remote Outside Sales

United Bags is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive based in the Cleveland, Ohio market to expand our presence and grow customer relationships throughout Northeast Ohio and surrounding territories.

As an Account Executive, you will serve as the face of United Bags in your region, operating as a field-based sales professional while partnering closely with our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor for packaging solutions across manufacturing, distribution, industrial, warehousing, food processing, and commercial markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who understands the Cleveland business community, enjoys working independently, and thrives on building long-term customer partnerships.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the Greater Cleveland metropolitan area and surrounding Northeast Ohio region
  • Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry associations, and local business relationships
  • Travel regularly throughout your territory to meet customers, assess needs, and recommend tailored packaging solutions
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and customized product solutions
  • Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure exceptional customer service and fulfillment
  • Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, pipeline, and sales data within CRM systems
  • Stay informed on product offerings, market trends, and competitive activity within the Northeast Ohio marketplace
  • Represent United Bags at customer meetings, facility visits, trade events, and industry functions throughout the region
  • Provide regular territory updates and sales reports to company leadership
Qualifications
  • College coursework or degree preferred
  • 2โ€“5 years of outside sales, B2B sales, account management, or territory development experience
  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate new business
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a territory independently
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the Greater Cleveland region
  • Professional, results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer success
  • Must reside in the Cleveland metropolitan area
  • Industrial, packaging, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution sales
Preferred Experience
  • Consultative or solution-based selling
  • Established business relationships within the Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and Northeast Ohio markets
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
