ScreenRant is the #1 entertainment website and publishes breaking news and exclusives on blockbuster movies, TV shows, comic books, and other forms of entertainment.
As a worldwide leader, ScreenRant operates at a rapid pace and is always looking for experienced and passionate contributors who can create original high-quality content in a timely manner.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Track and quickly turn around coverage of streaming performance data - Netflix Top 10, Nielsen streaming rankings, FlixPatrol, and platform-reported viewership - translating charts and numbers into compelling, reader-friendly stories
  • Monitor Netflix, Disney+, Max, Prime Video, Apple TV+, Hulu, Peacock, and other services for breaking news, new additions, leaving titles, renewals, cancellations, and trending viewership moments
  • Craft Discover-optimized headlines and framing that capture reader curiosity and search intent without resorting to clickbait
  • Update and refresh older content to keep it current as charts shift and titles move on and off platforms
  • Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
  • Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
  • Flexible schedule, afternoon (PST) work schedule preferred, weekend availability valued
What We Offer:
  • Competitive compensation.

  • Flexible schedule.
  • Remote freelance position to work from a location of your choice.
  • Exposure to ScreenRant's large and passionate audience, providing you an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact.
Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English Literature, or a related field
  • Broad working knowledge of Movies and TV and the entertainment industry as a whole - across multiple genres
  • Strong familiarity with the streaming landscape: the major platforms, their release strategies, and how streaming performance is measured and reported
    • Experience interpreting streaming charts and viewership data is a strong plus
  • An understanding of Google Discover and what drives engagement on the platform is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience working with a credible digital publication
  • A quick learner with a strong sense of urgency and drive
  • An excellent writer in the English language free of grammatical and spelling errors
  • The ability to write high quality articles with fast turnaround times
