Job description

Overview

The Walt Disney Company's Disney Entertainment (DE) group includes the company’s full portfolio of entertainment media and content business globally, including streaming (Disney+, Hulu). Revenue Planning is a highly visible team of professionals who serve as in‑house advisers to the Disney Streaming Services’ executive leadership and own the revenue planning process. This Project Hire role focuses on Disney’s domestic streaming services and will play a critical part in the revenue forecasting process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities related to the domestic revenue forecast process, which includes analyzing large datasets, updating models for actual performance, adjusting forecast assumptions, and identifying variance drivers.
  • Maintain the internal revenue KPI database and support ad‑hoc analyses, such as evaluating operating performance, major deals and transactions, issues and challenges by retail product, and relevant trends in the overall streaming business.
  • Assist in developing impactful, compelling presentation materials (decks, notes, write‑ups, backup materials, etc.) that effectively communicate revenue projections, drivers, risks, opportunities, and key findings to influence operational decisions.
  • Work internally and with other finance partners to identify ways to improve process efficiency in revenue forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top‑tier school with a major in Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 2 years of finance or strategy experience with a proven track record at a top‑tier tech or media & entertainment firm, management consultancy, investment bank, private equity firm, or Big4.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills (MSExcel), including the ability to build models from scratch.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including PowerPoint, with the ability to simplify complex matters for an executive audience.
  • Ability to work well in teams, both within the group and with other business units.
  • Skillful in juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while keeping management properly informed.
  • Familiarity with working in or with global, large organizations is a plus.
Benefits

The base pay range for this position in SantaMonica, CA is $112,700 to $154,800 per year, subject to internal equity and other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided. The role also includes a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
