Job description

Our client, a well-established Workers' Compensation defense firm in Southern California, is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage an active caseload of 100-125 workers' compensation cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.

Position Overview
The Associate Attorney will handle a full caseload of workers' compensation defense matters and represent clients before various WCAB locations throughout Southern California, as needed. This is a hybrid or fully remote position with travel to meetings within the Los Angeles and Van Nuys area as needed. Some coverage in San Francisco is needed when the current attorney is unable to attend meetings and trials.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in workers' compensation defense (either currently or in the past)

  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage cases independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to provide prompt and professional client responses

  • Comfortable working in a fully paperless environment with strong computer skills

  • Willingness to travel to WCAB offices throughout Southern California when required

  • Writing sample required with application
