DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS
LOCATION: Remote
REPORTS TO: VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain
DEPARTMENT: Operations
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 40%
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
We're looking for a Director of Logistics to help build a smarter, faster, more resilient supply chain that gets our products into customers' hands fresh, efficiently, and at scale. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves solving complex operational challenges, and brings both strategic rigor and entrepreneurial grit.
You'll lead logistics strategy across our co-manufacturing and distribution network, driving service, cost optimization, and operational excellence for a highly perishable product portfolio.
This role is remote within the U.S. and requires approximately 25-40% travel to co-manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own and lead Good Culture's logistics strategy across transportation, warehousing, distribution operations, and inventory management across the network
  • Manage relationships and performance across 3PLs, freight providers, co-manufacturers, and distribution partners
  • Build and optimize a cold-chain network designed for short shelf-life products, balancing freshness, customer service, and cost
  • Own inventory management strategy and execution across the network, ensuring optimal inventory levels, improved accuracy, minimized waste and obsolescence, and strong in-stock performance while balancing service levels and working capital targets
  • Drive large-scale cost savings and network optimization initiatives, including transportation efficiencies, inventory optimization, and distribution redesign efforts
  • Develop scalable logistics processes, KPIs, and reporting that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, speed, waste reduction, and operational resilience
  • Partner closely with Finance, Sales, Customer Operations, Supply Planning, and Manufacturing to align logistics execution with business priorities and growth plans
  • Support customer relationships and collaborate cross-functionally to solve service challenges, improve fill rates, and enhance retailer execution
  • Help shape the next phase of Good Culture's supply chain as we continue to scale rapidly

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of progressive logistics, transportation, or supply chain leadership experience within CPG or food & beverage
  • Experience managing highly perishable, short shelf-life products in a cold-chain environment required
  • Strong experience operating within co-manufacturing environments
  • Deep understanding of 3PL management and transportation operations
  • Proven track record leading large-scale cost savings initiatives and network optimization programs ($5M-$10M+ impact preferred)
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Sales, and Operations teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes in a growing business environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; supply chain or operations concentration preferred
  • Dairy or cultured dairy experience, especially yogurt or refrigerated products
  • Early career experience in a large CPG environment with exposure to best practices and operational rigor
  • Experience transitioning from large, structured organizations into smaller, high-growth businesses
  • A builder mindset with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
