• Conduct in-depth assessments during initial evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs and create personalized treatment strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and therapeutic methodologies to treat clients suffering from trauma and other emotional distress.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that outline clear goals, objectives, and coping mechanisms tailored specifically for each individual.
• Engage with clients regularly to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing support and encouragement.
• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions for clients and their families, equipping them with tools and strategies to cope with stress, anxiety, and trauma recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, social workers, and community organizations to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Regularly complete continuing education courses to maintain National Certified Counselor certification, staying updated on trends and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Contribute to community outreach initiatives aimed at improving mental health literacy and access to services for individuals affected by trauma.

As a counselor at Men's Talk Mental Health Services, you will be instrumental in guiding them through their darkest moments, helping restore hope and functionality in their lives.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license is mandatory for this position.
• At least three years of direct experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating a track record of effective treatment outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Salesforce is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse client populations.

• Experience utilizing teletherapy platforms to deliver counseling services effectively.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and their application in a clinical setting.
• Background in engaging with community health initiatives or outreach programs.
