Job description

Business Development Representative: Fast-Paced. Target-Driven. Unapologetically Outbound.

About You

You have a hunter's mindset. You don't wait for permission or perfect conditions; you create momentum wherever you go. You're wired for action, comfortable with pressure, and energized by the pursuit.

You:

  • Excel in high-velocity, results-first environments
  • Push relentlessly until you get a clear yes or no
  • Own your numbers, your process, and your outcomesno excuses
  • Communicate with confidence, clarity, and conviction
  • Work best with autonomy, accountability, and clear targets
  • Treat objections as conversations to win, not reasons to stop
  • Are driven by progress, competition, and tangible wins

You operate with discipline and urgency. You set your own pace, raise your own bar, and constantly refine how you prospect, pitch, and close. Average effort isn't in your vocabularyand neither is waiting around.

What Success Looks Like

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Get to know Prosper CFO
  • Start reaching out to referral partners (bankers, CPAs, etc) and even ICPs
  • Build your own style of outreachcalls, coffee, LinkedIn, networking events
  • Land at least 5 qualified lead meetings by the end of your first three months.

Down the Road (612 Months):

  • People in your local banking/CPA/networking world know your name
  • You're consistently bringing in 812 warm leads every month
  • You've built a referral network that keeps sending us opportunities without you having to chase as hard.
  • You've proven you can be a growth engine for the firm

Your scorecard is simple:

  • Number of Outreaches
  • Number of your outreaches that turns into meetings
  • How many warm introductions you bring in (leads)

What You Bring

  • You've navigated longer, consultative sales cycles where trust and timing matter as much as the pitch
  • Comfort in (and maybe even excitement for) the finance/accounting world, you don't need to know debit and credits, but you can hold your own in a room
  • You pick things up fast. You don't need to be a CPA, but you need to be curious enough to understand what we do and sharp enough to explain it simply. You can learn a complex value prop, translate it for a banker, a business owner, or a CPA, and adjust your pitch on the fly depending on who's across the table
  • You've sold something that required more than a product demo, something that took education, trust, and patience to close. If you've worked in a longer sales cycle or sold engagements north of six figures, even better
  • You're self-motivated, resilient, and you don't need someone standing over your shoulder
  • Solid communication skillsyou can hold a room and also send a crisp, professional email
  • Curiosity, hustle, and a competitive edge
  • You're not just motivated, you're structured. You have a daily routine that drives consistent output: calls get made, emails go out, follow-ups don't fall through the cracks, and your pipeline is never a mystery.
