Supply Chain Contract Specialist (Contract Position) - Long Term

Position Type: Contract
Immediate availability is strongly preferred to support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and continuity of ongoing projects.
ReNuke Services is seeking a Supply Chain Contract Specialist to support ongoing project and supply chain initiatives associated with its Oak Ridge, Tennessee operations. This contract position offers remote work flexibility while supporting project teams, procurement activities, and supplier relationships across multiple initiatives.
The Supply Chain Contract Specialist will be responsible for administering contracts, purchase orders, supplier documentation, procurement tracking, and commercial activities supporting project execution. The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting industrial, engineering, EPC, manufacturing, energy, or nuclear-related projects and demonstrate strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Due to an immediate business need, the selected candidate will work closely with existing team members to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure continuity of ongoing procurement and contract activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Contract Administration
Administer and maintain contract records, amendments, change orders, and procurement documentation.
Support contract lifecycle management from requisition through closeout.
Monitor supplier performance, contractual obligations, and key deliverables.
Assist with contract negotiations, commercial correspondence, and issue resolution.
Maintain audit-ready contract and procurement files.
Procurement & Supplier Management
Create, update, and manage purchase orders and procurement documentation.
Coordinate supplier onboarding and qualification activities.
Support RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, and supplier communications.
Track supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and procurement milestones.
Assist with invoice reconciliation and payment status monitoring.
Systems & Reporting
Utilize ARIBA and Deltek systems for procurement, contract administration, reporting, and document management.
Maintain procurement logs, contract trackers, and supplier databases.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and metrics to support project and management teams.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement and contract data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with project management, engineering, finance, legal, and supply chain teams.
Participate in project reviews and provide procurement and contract status updates.
Support communications between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Transition & Continuity Support
Learn and assume ownership of active procurement and contract activities.
Support transition planning and documentation efforts to ensure continuity of operations.
Quickly establish working knowledge of ongoing projects, supplier commitments, and commercial requirements.
Additional Information
Remote work is available; occasional support of Oak Ridge-based operations may be required.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, contract administration, subcontract management, or related commercial functions.
Experience supporting engineering, construction, industrial, manufacturing, EPC, energy, or technical projects.
Working knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, supplier management, and change management.
Experience using ARIBA and Deltek.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting nuclear, energy, industrial construction, or EPC projects.
Familiarity with supplier performance management and commercial risk mitigation.
Experience in regulated industries or complex project environments.
Knowledge of project controls and procurement best practices.
