A Remote Digital Matte Painter is a visual effects artist who creates realistic background environments for movies, TV shows, video games, or advertisements while working from a location outside the main studio. They use digital painting and compositing techniques to produce detailed landscapes, cityscapes, or other scenes that may be impossible or expensive to film in real life.
