Job description

Advanced Strategic Insight (ASI) is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support the Senior VP of Corporate Affairs and the organization's day-to-day financial operations. This role combines hands-on accounting with executive-level support in a fast-paced, compliance-driven government contracting environment.


The ideal candidate has experience with Deltek'sCostpoint software and a strong understanding of government accounting practices. They thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment and can seamlessly shift between focused, detail-oriented work and reactive, time-sensitive priorities without compromising quality or professionalism.


Key Responsibilities


Accounting & Financial Operations


  • Support accounting processes such as recording expense reports and vendor payments inDeltekCostpoint.
  • Assistwith subcontractor operations, including tracking hours and travel for compliance, ensuring proper documentation, coordinatingcontractand funding modifications,validatinginvoices, and handling PO managementinCostpoint.
  • Support journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Assistwith financial reporting, data analysis, and auditpreparation.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, andDCAA.


Executive & Operational Support


  • Support the SVP with dailyfinancial and administrativeprioritiesincluding scheduling, travel,organizingandmaintainingdepartment files.
  • Track deadlines, audits, and key deliverables.
  • Prepare financial presentations and leadership materials.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Handle confidential communications and ad hoc research/projects.


Qualifications


  • Associate or bachelor'sdegree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of accounting/finance experience (government contracting preferred)
  • DeltekCostpoint softwareexperiencerequired
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and DCAArequirements
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High levelof discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
