Job description

We're Hiring: Provider Network Development Specialist (Remote)

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience

The IMA Group is seeking a Provider Network Development & Relations Specialist to help grow and strengthen our national provider network supporting Disability, Workers' Compensation, Employer Services, and Independent Medical Examination (IME) programs.
This role combines provider recruitment, account management, and network development. You'll serve as a strategic partner to physicians and healthcare practices, building relationships that expand our provider panel, improve market coverage, and support long-term network growth across the country.

Rather than focusing solely on recruitment, this position is responsible for developing and managing provider relationships, engaging medical practices, identifying expansion opportunities, and serving as a key liaison between providers and The IMA Group.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys business development, healthcare relationship management, provider engagement, and building strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand provider relationships across priority markets and specialties
  • Engage physicians, practice administrators, and healthcare groups to grow The IMA Group's provider network
  • Identify geographic and specialty coverage gaps and execute targeted network expansion strategies
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned providers and practices
  • Maintain ongoing provider engagement to support retention, satisfaction, and long-term partnership growth
  • Coordinate provider onboarding, credentialing, and activation activities
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective providers, practices, and healthcare organizations
  • Collaborate with internal operations, credentialing, and leadership teams to support network development initiatives
  • Track outreach activity, provider engagement metrics, and network growth performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in provider relations, physician liaison, healthcare business development, account management, network development, physician recruitment, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with physicians, medical groups, or healthcare organizations
  • Experience working with physician practices, healthcare networks, or provider organizations
  • Strong consultative communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and drive network growth
  • Strong Excel, CRM, and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing pipelines, territory development, or account portfolios
  • Knowledge of disability, workers' compensation, IME, or related healthcare services
  • Experience supporting multi-state provider networks
  • Experience with credentialing, provider onboarding, or healthcare contracting
Why Join The IMA Group?
  • Remote work environment with nationwide impact
  • Opportunity to directly influence network growth and provider engagement strategy
  • Collaborative and mission-driven healthcare organization
  • Exposure to multiple healthcare service lines and specialties
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
  • Growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding national provider network

The IMA Group is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.

Our Government Services Division supports local, state, and federal agencies and delivers professional and objective medical and psychological examinations as well as ancillary services. Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets.
