Financial Reporting Migration Project Manager – Equity Programs
Remote (EST preferred)

  • Salary: $125, 000+ Negotiable
  • Travel: Up to 10% (Industry, Client & Team Events)

 
THE ROLE:

  • We are seeking an experienced financial reporting migration professional to support client migrations from legacy equity platforms to a new financial reporting environment. This role manages migration activity, recon packages, client-specific differences, reporting validation, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination across overlapping client cohorts. While also supporting a large-scale equity platform migration and transformation initiative involving financial reporting, equity administration, reporting outputs, client testing/training, data validation, reconciliation, product support, and platform readiness. Candidates may flex across workstreams depending on project needs, strengths, and client priorities

 
THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE / THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:

  • This role helps clients gain confidence that migrated financial reporting data and outputs are accurate, explainable, and ready for signoff. The consultant will coordinate migration activities while also understanding enough financial reporting detail to identify material differences, explain calculation logic, and drive resolution

 
KEYS TO SUCCESS:

  • Strong experience with system-to-system reconciliation of financial reporting data, including material and non-material differences
  • Hands-on involvement in migrations, implementations, conversions, or financial reporting transitions
  • Strong understanding of equity financial reporting areas such as stock compensation expense, deferred tax, diluted EPS, disclosures, proxy reporting, and share balance reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple client cohorts, timelines, issues, dependencies, and escalations simultaneously
  • Ability to explain reporting differences to clients, auditors, product teams, and non-technical stakeholders

 
THE WORK YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage financial reporting migration activity for assigned client cohorts, including planning, tracking, issue management, and client readiness
  • Review and coordinate recon packages, validation outputs, differences, and client signoff activity
  • Partner with platform teams, client teams, Financial Reporting SMEs, Product, Report Builder, Admin Data Recon, and Testing resources
  • Assess calculation differences and help determine whether variances are expected, immaterial, configuration-related, or require remediation
  • Track open issues, blockers, dependencies, and escalations through resolution
  • Support migration runbooks, project plans, client-specific notes, data validation, and post-migration stabilization
  • Communicate status clearly to internal and external stakeholders, including risks, next steps, and ownership
  • Support special client scenarios, corporate actions, and reporting exceptions as needed

 
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • At least 5+ years of equity compensation, financial reporting, reconciliation, accounting, migration, or implementation experience
  • Experience validating migrated data or financial reporting outputs across systems
  • Knowledge of ASC 718, deferred tax, diluted EPS, disclosures, and equity plan lifecycle events preferred
  • Strong project management, client management, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with equity platforms, financial reporting platforms, ERP, GL, HRIS, payroll, or data reconciliation workflows preferred
  • CPA, CEP, PMP, or related credential preferred but not required
