Job description

Data Architect

Full-time Onsite (Greater Cleveland, OH Area)

ABOUT THE ROLE

A prominent manufacturing organization in the Greater Cleveland area is seeking a pragmatic, detail-oriented Data Architect to spearhead a major data modernization initiative. This critical enterprise project involves transitioning core data ecosystems from a legacy Siebel environment into Salesforce and Snowflake.

Serving as the technical anchor for the data migration strategy, the Data Architect will collaborate directly with onsite engineering and business teams. This individual will tackle complex data mapping challenges, untangle legacy Siebel structures, and design scalable schemas in a multi-cloud environment to ensure the new Snowflake data warehouse is optimized for long-term analytics. For a professional who enjoys the puzzle of turning legacy complexity into clean, modern data architectures, this project offers high impact and visibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Data Mapping & Migration: Own the comprehensive source-to-target data mapping, transformation logic, and lineage tracking required to migrate legacy Siebel data into Salesforce and Snowflake.
  • Architect Snowflake Solutions: Design, optimize, and maintain Snowflake environments, ensuring clean data modeling, efficient data sharing, and robust warehouse performance.
  • Modernize Data Structures: Collaborate with onsite engineering and business stakeholders to translate legacy Siebel data models into scalable, modern CRM and analytical data schemas.
  • Ensure Data Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards, access patterns, and security guardrails across a multi-cloud data landscape.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely alongside Salesforce teams, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure a seamless data transition with minimal business disruption.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or data warehouse design.
  • Legacy System Migration Expertise: Proven experience working with or migrating data away from Siebel (or closely related legacy CRM/ERP systems like Oracle EBS), with a deep understanding of complex legacy data schemas.
  • Deep Expertise with Snowflake: Strong production experience designing and optimizing Snowflake environments (SnowSQL, data sharing, schema design).
  • Advanced Data Mapping Skills: Demonstrated success leading extensive source-to-target data mapping and lineage tracking for large-scale enterprise migrations.
  • Expert SQL Skills: Ability to reverse-engineer complex, nested legacy queries and write clean, optimized code for modern cloud platforms.
  • Multi-Cloud Familiarity: Hands-on experience working within major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Location: Ability to work full-time onsite in the Greater Cleveland, OH area, 5 days a week. No relocation will be offered.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.

NICE TO HAVE (PREFERRED)

  • Salesforce Experience: Familiarity with the Salesforce data model, standard/custom objects, and CRM data integration patterns.
  • Certifications: Active Snowflake SnowPro Core/Advanced or cloud provider certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with dbt for transformation workflows and data documentation.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Flexible work environment and remote work options.

This position is open to multiple engagement models, including Permanent/Full-Time, Contract, or Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements. We are looking for the best talent and are flexible on the employment structure for the right candidate.

We cannot work with third-party agencies at this time. Resumes submitted via unapproved agencies will be automatically rejected.
