The Opportunity

  • Provide operational project leadership, analytical support, and research services.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and practice management individuals to codesign innovative programs, from concept to delivery; analyze the impact and success of these programs.
  • Subject matter expert in practice line operations and process improvement to help identify gaps for various programs and implement best practice.
  • Develop necessary supporting materials (e.g., manual, training modules, curriculum) to support the programs, working with physicians, workgroups, and committees; pilot and evaluate impact of programs in meeting the defined objectives; create clear, concise, detail-oriented work plans to drive programs and projects.
  • Responsible for overall project management and program support (e.g., project workplans, meeting support, project timelines, regular project communications, and updates) as needed for quality and performance program.
  • Lead medium to large scale projects and initiatives that may have many internal and external dependencies and higher levels of risk.
  • Define scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, budget, methods, and tools for innovative programs in collaboration with stakeholders, and monitors their progress over time.
  • Manage the execution of deliverables to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
  • Utilize formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Provide leadership, management, and oversight for existing programs such as Quality and Process Improvement.
  • Lead or be an integral part of new site start-up processes.
  • Develop and implement processes and programs in response to requests from leaders.
  • Develop necessary supporting materials such as manuals, training modules, and curriculum.
  • Provide project management and project support on an ad hoc basis for organizational and site practice line initiatives.
  • Exercise independent judgment and execute complex assignments requiring special training or knowledge.
  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight.
  • Support the collection of analytics used to improve operational, quality, and financial performance.
  • Conduct pre- and post-performance analysis to enhance and improve risk mitigation processes.
  • Measure and compare current processes with identified procedures and policies, monitor processes, and provide management summaries with recommendations for error prevention.
  • Identify and escalate issues and opportunities to improve data, quality, and processes.
  • Facilitate the improvement and stability of operations.
  • Recognize opportunities for improvement and facilitate the transition of improved workflows and care processes.
  • Maintain and distribute project reporting on a consistent and ad hoc basis.
  • Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency.
  • Monitor outcome measures and implementation of implemented programs
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure high standards and quality of process by identification of the root cause and implementation of action plans for quality issues.
  • Analyze actual results against plan, forecast and identify opportunities for improvement in operational performance, and recommend interventions where appropriate.
  • Represent organization in Health System collaboration with leaders on workgroups and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide consulting and advisory services to clients and physician leaders, including Regional Directors and Medical Directors.
  • Interact with all departments within the organization to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Work independently with frequent communication to regional, practice line, and client leadership.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within a healthcare setting required.
  • 3 years of experience in data and analytics: developing, preparing, and analyzing reports and/or leading clinical-related quality programs measuring performance, and continuous improvement planning required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel - intermediate-advanced, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Skilled at using Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau) to develop sustainable reports, dashboards, and calculators using various data sources. Experience working with pivot tables in Excel.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills, including financial statements and statistical reports, with the ability to convey insights using data.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management concepts. Strong project management, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Polished public speaking skills with an ability to present to all types of audiences.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional leaders and/or senior management to develop and implement change management strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of hospital and outpatient clinic operations. Subject matter expertise in hospital operations and process improvement.
  • Ability to perform daily functions with little supervision, working in a remote environment, and understanding when to escalate issues where appropriate. Demonstrated self-learner interested in continued professional development and personal growth.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills. Ability to keep impeccable records and to sustain strong attention to detail.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $95,590 - $121,875, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company's annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
