Director of Homeschool Marketing (Remote Based)

Our client, a leading provider of structured literacy programs for homeschool families and educators is looking for a strategic, data‑driven Director of Homeschool Marketing to build and scale their direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) marketing engine. This newly created leadership role is designed to accelerate awareness, demand and revenue growth across a passionate and rapidly evolving homeschool market.

This individual will own and build the full-funnel marketing strategy, from brand storytelling to performance marketing, with consistent visibility to the executive team. They will work on driving e-commerce and wholesale channels through email, social, paid media, partnerships, events, and more. This person must be a data driven marketer who has experience gathering insights across the funnel, defining KPIs tied to revenue and running continuous testing to optimize growth. This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity to combine category expertise with modern growth marketing to position our client as the clear leader in homeschool curriculum.

This position reports into the SVP, Marketing. It is a remote based position that and will require up to 20% travel to conferences, as well as other company and industry events.

Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership

o Partner with senior leadership (SVP, Homeschool; SVP, Marketing) to define and execute growth strategy.

o Own annual marketing planning, budget, and performance outcomes.

o Translate deep homeschool market insights into scalable growth strategies.


  • Brand & Content Leadership

o Elevate our client’s position as the trusted authority in homeschool curriculum.

o Lead development of differentiated messaging, storytelling, and content strategy.

o Establish and enforce cohesive brand standards across all channels.

  • Channel & Growth Marketing

o Drive a high-performing, multi-channel program across:

▪      Email lifecycle & automation

▪      Organic and paid social

▪      Performance media (search, display, retargeting)

▪      Affiliate, influencer, and partnership marketing

▪      Events and community engagement

o Expand affiliate and partnership ecosystems to accelerate revenue growth.

  • Performance & Team Leadership

o Define KPIs, dashboards, and insights that drive decision-making.

o Implement a test-and-learn culture focused on continuous optimization.

o Grow, lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketers. Build future organizational capability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree is required.
  • 7+ years of progressive DTC marketing experience, ideally within homeschool curriculum.
  • Deep knowledge of the homeschool ecosystem (buyer personas, funding sources, competitive dynamics).
  • Management experience growing and developing high performing teams with an empathetic leadership style.
  • Proven track record driving eCommerce growth through multi-channel strategies.
  • Experience scaling affiliate or partnership marketing programs.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset paired with creative problem-solving.


Technical Experience:

  • HubSpot (required)
  • Ecommerce platform experience required, WooCommerce preferred
  • Content management experience required, WordPress preferred
  • AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, Liminal)

This role offers a base salary of $130,000 - $140,000, with additional bonus potential based on performance.
