About XYB

XYB is the company creating Adaptive Financial Infrastructure (AFI), the new category for banking orchestration, unifying systems, people, and processes — context aware, operationally resilient.

The AFI Platform, the banking orchestrator at event speed, is the event-native substrate enabling financial institutions to modernise and launch new digital propositions, adapting in weeks, not years. Recognised by Everest Group and Celent, XYB empowers financial institutions to adopt agentic AI, real-time payments, and decentralised finance, and be ready for what's next without replacing what already works.

The opportunity

AFI is the category that names what the AI and Real-Time Era requires: one event-native substrate where AI agents reason at event speed, real-time payment mandates land natively, and decentralised finance is architectural.

The AFI Platform and its two production Solutions, Adaptive Digital Banking and Commercial Treasury Solution, generate active pipelines across regulated financial institutions in the US, EU, and UK. Analyst recognition — Agentic AI Select from Everest Group and Technology Standout from Celent — is converting into enterprise conversations now. The Director, Strategic Sales who joins shapes how a category-defining platform reaches the market.

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior individual contributor to drive new business growth across the US financial services sector. This role requires more than traditional enterprise sales experience; you will bring a consultative mindset, a thorough understanding of the US banking technology landscape, and an established network across banks and credit unions. You will originate and close enterprise deals that deliver real strategic value to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and close new enterprise opportunities across banks, credit unions, and financial services clients serving consumers and small businesses
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic accounts using a consultative approach to client development
  • Develop deep relationships with senior stakeholders across target clients, with particular focus on those in banking and credit union sectors
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles end-to-end, from initial engagement through to contract execution
  • Consistently meet or exceed business revenue targets
  • Demonstrate fluency in the regulatory and legislative landscape relevant to US banking, payments, and lending when engaging clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Delivery, Marketing) to deliver tailored solutions that address client needs
  • Provide market insight on technology trends, regulatory changes, and client requirements to inform strategy
Requirements
  • Proven experience working with a network of executives across US banks and credit unions, particularly those serving consumers and small businesses
  • Strong knowledge of the broader US financial services ecosystem including payments, lending, and financial crime compliance and a solid grasp of the US regulatory and legislative environment
  • Deep understanding of the banking technology landscape, including digital banking, core banking platforms, and banking capabilities such as FinCrime, Cards, and Payments, as well as data and cloud infrastructure
  • Demonstrated consultative approach to enterprise sales, able to deeply understand client challenges and craft tailored solutions rather than simply pitching products
  • Proven track record of closing enterprise-level deals in B2B financial services technology
  • Highly driven, results-oriented individual contributor comfortable operating autonomously
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience navigating complex enterprise sales environments
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus/Commission + Equity
  • Comprehensive benefits package designed for global team members
  • Opportunity to be part of a high-growth company redefining financial services
  • Clear career advancement pathways within a rapidly expanding organization
  • Collaborative, innovative culture that values initiative and fresh thinking
  • Regular team gatherings and company-wide events to foster connection

XYB is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We are happy to offer reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and beyond, please let us know how we can best support you.
