About the role:

Behind many of life's most important transactions - buying a house, applying for a mortgage, getting a small business loan, or refinancing a credit card - is a network of credit relationships. Setpoint provides critical infrastructure for relationships between the world's largest banks, credit funds and capital markets counterparties. We're building trust in this system of credit.

Setpoint is looking for an Analyst, Diligence to join our Diligence team!

The Analyst, Diligence plays a crucial role in translating complex lending guidelines into programmatic review frameworks. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining automated validation systems that ensure loan portfolios meet client-specific criteria. They will work closely with our engineering team to integrate these frameworks into Setpoint's core platform while supporting our growing securitization initiatives. This role reports directly to the VP of Transactions.

What you'll do:
  • Transform originator underwriting guidelines into programmatic review templates using advanced Excel modeling
  • Design and maintain automated validation systems for client-specific lending criteria
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate guidelines into Setpoint's platform
  • Support rated and non-rated securitization reporting initiatives
  • Create and update reports for portfolio analysis and client reviews
  • Work directly with clients to implement guideline updates and maintain accuracy
You should have:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services or related field
  • Expert-level Excel skills with demonstrated ability to create complex models
  • Strong analytical mindset and proven problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • A bias toward action, including the ability to push projects forward with minimal supervision, and bring an ownership mentality to their work
