PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $156,200.00-$190,800.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $121,200.00 - $225,800.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

As the Senior Product Manager - New Product Development, Credit Card, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of BECU's credit card products and member experiences. You'll transform strategic ideas into innovative solutions that help members achieve their financial goals while driving portfolio growth and digital innovation. Working across teams, you'll lead product discovery, define roadmaps, and guide initiatives from concept through launch, ensuring every solution delivers meaningful value for members and measurable business results.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, champion member-centric thinking, and collaborate with talented partners across the organization. Your expertise in product management, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement will help bring new capabilities to life while advancing BECU's commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and exceptional member experiences.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, TX, NC, SC, GA, or VA. If you're located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week.For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance to TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead Product Discovery: Explore member needs through research, stakeholder interviews, market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and industry trend assessments to uncover opportunities for innovation.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Discover ways to enhance the member experience, increase credit card engagement, drive digital adoption, improve operational efficiency, and support portfolio growth.
  • Develop Product Strategies: Create compelling product recommendations, business cases, and capability proposals that align with the strategic direction established by New Product Development leadership.
  • Define Product Vision: Partner with stakeholders to establish product vision, desired outcomes, success metrics, and business objectives for assigned initiatives.
  • Evaluate Emerging Solutions: Assess vendor capabilities, fintech solutions, platform enhancements, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities that support evolving business needs.
  • Drive Product Roadmaps: Support the execution of multi-quarter product roadmaps established by Credit Card and New Product Development leadership, helping ensure strategic initiatives remain on track.
  • Manage Product Intake & Prioritization: Lead intake, analysis, prioritization recommendations, and requirements development for new product initiatives and enhancements.
  • Collaborate Across the Enterprise: Work closely with business partners to identify dependencies, assess impacts, address risks, and coordinate implementation considerations across teams.
  • Prioritize for Maximum Value: Continuously evaluate initiative priorities by balancing business value, member needs, regulatory requirements, and operational impacts.
  • Support Delivery Planning: Provide recommendations for roadmap sequencing, release planning, and delivery readiness to help ensure successful implementation.
  • Lead End-to-End Product Delivery: Guide assigned initiatives from concept through implementation and post-launch performance monitoring, ensuring successful outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop Product Requirements: Facilitate the creation and refinement of epics, process flows, business rules, acceptance criteria, and supporting product documentation that enables successful delivery.
  • Manage Delivery Risks: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, blockers, dependencies, and implementation challenges to keep initiatives moving forward successfully.
  • Support Quality & Readiness: Partner with teams during testing, validation, defect triage, and go-live readiness activities to help deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Advance Agile Excellence: Support the continued evolution of Agile product management practices and delivery excellence across the organization.
  • Support Successful Product Launches: Partner with Marketing, Tech, Operations, Retail, Contact Center, and Communications teams to help ensure successful go-to-market planning and launch readiness.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, resolve challenges, and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Measure Product Success: Develop measurement frameworks, KPIs, reporting requirements, and performance dashboards to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Champion Innovation & Collaboration: Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and member-centric decision making while helping teams achieve shared goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology, business, or related discipline required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in product management, product development or product operations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing or developing credit card products, including product strategy, roadmap development, feature delivery, and cross-functional implementation.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps or a similar Agile work management platform (e.g., Jira) to manage epics, features, backlogs, user stories, and Agile delivery.
  • Previous experience overseeing all elements of the product development life cycle.
  • Self-directed and able to proactively identify business and customer needs and opportunities, overcome barriers, influence, and formulate solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in managing highly effective cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience understanding and determining product strategies based on the voice of the customer.
  • Experience managing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
