We’re looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our mortgage lending team in serving existing members and procuring new members through the origination of quality real estate loan products. This is a field-based position that emphasizes self-generated business development, community engagement, and strong pipeline management in addition to member service.

  • We provide daily leads to complement your self-generated business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and nurtures relationships with prospective and existing borrowers through self-sourced and assigned leads to generate mortgage loan volume.
  • Drives business development through community engagement, partnerships with real estate professionals and local organizations, and active use of social media to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Meets with borrowers and referral partners in the field to originate mortgage loans, maintaining consistent pipeline activity and reporting progress to management.
  • Advises borrowers on available mortgage products, sets clear expectations for the loan process, and maintains up-to-date knowledge of lending options.
  • At least 2 years of recent mortgage lending experience.
  • Experience in proper loan pricing based on credit union rate determinations and understanding the use of points or discounts.
  • Registration as a MLO with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry on an annual basis in addition to maintaining updates as needed.
  • Must have experience with Desktop Underwriter and/or Loan Prospector underwriting systems and packaging of conforming loan standards.
  • Be efficient with the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Credit Bureau Systems and financial calculators. 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Must have reliable internet access of 50MBPS which is the minimum speed required to connect to several of our systems and platforms. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • FHA and VA origination experience a plus.
  • Prior experience using Encompass.

Starting Pay and Benefits

This role offers base pay of $31,200 per year and up to 130 basis points incentive pay per loan. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.
