• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance abuse histories, mental health statuses, and treatment readiness.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction issues and associated mental health challenges, using evidence-based methodologies.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, ensuring engagement and understanding.
• Work collaboratively with your treatment team, including case managers, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to client care.
• Provide education and support to clients' families, enhancing their understanding of the recovery process and ways to contribute positively to their loved ones’ journeys.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with local and federal regulations, ensuring accountability and quality of care.

This role focuses on clients struggling with substance abuse along with co-occurring mental health disorders. You will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and experiences, providing personalized therapy that resonates with their unique needs. As a key player in their recovery, your empathetic approach and professional expertise will help foster a supportive environment for healing.

• A valid licensure is required, specifically holding credentials as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or PsyD.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
• Applicants must have specialized training or demonstrable experience in addiction counseling and a thorough understanding of mental health issues.

• Experience working in a substance abuse treatment center is advantageous.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, along with ability to implement these methods in clinical settings.
• A strong ability to motivate and engage clients through therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
