What is a remote creative outdoor?

A Remote Creative Outdoor job typically involves roles that combine creative tasks—such as writing, photography, videography, or design—with the flexibility to work from outdoor locations, rather than a traditional office. Professionals in this field might create content, manage social media, or develop campaigns while traveling or working outside. These jobs appeal to those who value creativity, autonomy, and a connection to nature. Common employers include outdoor brands, travel companies, and media outlets. The key is leveraging digital tools to collaborate and deliver work remotely.

What does a typical day look like for a remote creative outdoor professional?

A typical day for a Remote Creative Outdoor professional involves planning, conceptualizing, and executing creative projects that are inspired by or take place in outdoor settings. This can include developing content, coordinating with clients and teams via virtual meetings, scouting or researching outdoor locations, and sometimes traveling to sites for on-location work. Collaboration is often done remotely with photographers, designers, marketers, or other creatives to ensure the vision is achieved. Balancing independent work with regular online check-ins is common, and strong self-management skills are valuable for success in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote creative outdoor professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Creative Director in the outdoor industry, you need a strong background in creative design, brand strategy, and a deep understanding of outdoor trends, typically supported by a degree in design, marketing, or a related field. Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools like Asana or Trello, and experience with digital collaboration platforms is essential. Outstanding communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills help you inspire teams and connect with outdoor audiences. These abilities ensure innovative campaigns, efficient teamwork, and effective brand storytelling in a competitive, remote working environment.

Director of Programmatic Sales - DSPs & Digital Agencies

Manhattan, NY • Remote

Job description

***Remote Role, physically accessible to New York City***
Director of Programmatic Sales – DSPs & Digital AgenciesFull-Time | Remote / Field-Based | Reports to CRO
About Adams Outdoor
Adams Outdoor Advertising is the largest independently owned out-of-home company in the United States. We've spent decades building trusted relationships with advertisers across our markets, and we're now scaling our programmatic business to match the pace of the industry we helped build. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how the omni-channel buying world discovers, tests, and scales spend on Adams inventory.
The Role
We're looking for a Director of Programmatic Sales to own new business development across the omni-channel DSP and digital-only agency landscape — a focused universe of roughly 150 to 200 accounts. This position is built for someone who thrives lower in the funnel, moving fast across a high volume of digital-native buyers and platform partners.
You'll be the primary evangelist for programmatic DOOH with buyers who live and breathe platforms like The Trade Desk, Vistar, DV360, Amazon DSP, StackAdapt, and the broader omni-channel ecosystem of DSP’s as well as the digital agencies who are now transacting out of home as part of their digital omni-channel media plans — turning unfamiliar territory into a repeatable, revenue-generating channel.
What You'll Own
  • Build and work a target list of 150–200 omni-channel DSPs and digital-only agencies, prioritizing accounts with the fastest path to activation.
  • Generate net-new programmatic revenue through proactive outreach, platform partnerships, and consistent in-market presence.
  • Educate buying teams on Adams' programmatic inventory, deal types, and measurement capabilities — you're often the first real conversation a buyer has about DOOH.
  • Build and nurture relationships with platform and DSP partner teams to unlock preferred access, co-marketing, and demand-side momentum.
  • Craft proposals and pitch materials that translate Adams' footprint and data into a story that wins budget.
  • Partner closely with Ad Ops on deal curation, PMP setup, creative specs, and campaign troubleshooting.
  • Keep a clean, current pipeline in CRM and report honestly on activity, forecast, and market signal.
  • Represent Adams Outdoor at industry events, platform meetups, and trade shows as a face of our programmatic business.
  • Be the programmatic sales expert for Adams Outdoor and work with our National Agency team to help them where needed in developing programmatic opportunities within the traditional out of home media agency landscape.
  • Work with Marketing to refine our sales material and programmatic story for DSP and Digital Agency buyers.
  • Work with digital and programmatic operations as needed to support the connectivity and data requirements of these digital buyers.
What You Bring
  • 3–5 years of sales experience at a DSP, SSP, or programmatic media company, with real fluency across platforms like Vistar, The Trade Desk, DV360, and Amazon.
  • A genuine hunter mentality — comfortable building pipeline from scratch and closing without a long runway of inbound leads.
  • Working knowledge of attribution, measurement, and how to tell a data story that actually moves a buyer.
  • Prior OOH or DOOH experience is a strong plus, but not a dealbreaker if your programmatic chops are sharp.
  • Sharp written and verbal communication — you'll be explaining a newer channel to buyers who've never planned it before.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning your calendar and your numbers.
Why Adams
You'll get the resources and inventory of the largest independent operator in the category, paired with the speed and autonomy of a team that's still building its programmatic playbook — which means your fingerprints will be all over how this channel scales.
