Job description

Podcast Social Media Intern

MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly-organized and creative person to join MeatEater's production team as a Podcast Social Media Intern. As an intern for the MeatEater brand, you will join a podcast team that tackles everything from short form episode cutdowns to multi-cam edits of longform podcasts, and documentary style video podcasts. The primary responsibilities will include creating podcast cutdowns for social media as well as scheduling and managing various podcast brand social accounts.

There may also be opportunities to attend offsite podcast shoots, gather BTS content, film b-roll for documentary podcasts, and more as needs arise. Experience in post production software is required. Currently studying media production is a plus. The right fit will have excellent organizational skills, familiarity with post production editing, have an interest in podcasts, and be willing to jump in and get their hands dirty!

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create short-form cutdowns of podcasts
  • Schedule social media posts
  • Manage engagement on social platforms
  • Other duties as beneficial to MeatEater

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

  • Weekly in person meetings with Podcast Manager of Operations and Strategy
  • Hands-on experience in real-world podcast production workflow
  • Opportunity to meet and network with key department members and leadership across the organization
  • Employee engagement event participation welcomed and encouraged
  • Part time/flexible schedule, 10-20 hours/week - based on intern's credit needs

The Summer 2026 Podcast Social Media Internship program is a 3-6 credits, 10-20 hours/week, internship that would support the podcast department needs for MeatEater, Inc. The candidate must currently be enrolled in university or receiving advanced education and must be eligible for college credit. Proof of enrollment is required prior to accepting this position (please feel free to ask questions on how this process works).

This position is located in: Bozeman, Montana

Reports to: Podcast Manager of Strategy and Operations, currently Reva Hansen

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be an organized self-starter
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite a plus
  • Familiarity with hunting industry, terms, and culture a plus
  • Currently enrolled in college/university, preferably media production school or similar study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interest in podcasts/production/editing, etc.
  • Interest in hunting, fishing, cooking, and conservation
  • Interest in emerging AI tools for enhancing workflows and aiding creative efforts
