• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional well-being, utilizing standardized assessment tools and techniques.
• Collaboratively develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address each client's unique issues and therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate individual and couples therapy sessions via virtual platforms, focusing on issues ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship conflicts and family dynamics.
• Regularly monitor and adjust treatment strategies based on client progress and feedback, ensuring a responsive therapeutic approach.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, maintaining up-to-date client records that include progress notes and treatment updates in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Stay informed on current research and best practices in marriage and family therapy, incorporating new insights into your treatment methodologies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including training workshops and peer supervision to enhance therapeutic skills.
• Advocate for client rights and empower them to actively participate in their treatment, facilitating decision-making that prioritizes their well-being.
• Encourage and model effective self-care practices and wellness activities to promote a healthy therapeutic alliance.

Our therapists serve a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, and families, facing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. You will work with adolescents, adults, and couples, helping them navigate issues related to mental health, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. The position allows you to foster meaningful connections with clients, utilizing empathetic communication and evidence-based practices to support their journey toward healing.

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
• Current, active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board of Virginia is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and couples therapy.
• Strong expertise working with children, adolescents, and/or adults in various settings.
• Exceptional skills in completing assessments and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
• Competency in utilizing electronic health record systems for efficient client management.

• Previous experience in outpatient counseling settings, particularly in a remote context.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and emergency support protocols.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.
