You will utilize telehealth platforms to conduct counseling sessions, ensuring that our clients receive the care they need with accessibility in mind.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and emotional well-being to gauge needs effectively.
• Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation methodologies.
• Provide individual and couples therapy sessions addressing various mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on progress evaluations and clients' evolving needs.
• Document client interactions meticulously, including progress notes, treatment plans, and case histories, to maintain comprehensive client records.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families to foster a collaborative approach to care and ensure client understanding of treatment strategies.
• Participate in crisis intervention when necessary, providing support to clients in acute distress while also adhering to ethical practice standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training opportunities and stay current with best practices in marriage and family therapy.
• Advocate for clients' rights and support their agency, ensuring they are empowered to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
• Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines related to therapy practice.

You will work with individuals facing a myriad of challenges, such as mental health disorders, relationship issues, and personal development concerns. • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Virginia is a must.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and/or couples therapy, with the ability to connect with clients of various ages.
• Proficient writing and communication skills, along with experience using electronic health record systems.
• Strong assessment and treatment planning abilities to develop and monitor client care.

• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, especially in a remote counseling context.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and methods to ensure effective remote engagements.
