We are a growing office equipment dealership looking for a motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. If you have experience repairing MFP copiers, multifunction printers, laser printers, or other office equipment, we'd like to meet you.

Whether you're an experienced Copier Technician, Printer Technician, MFP Technician, Field Service Technician, or Office Equipment Technician, you'll have the opportunity to work independently, solve technical problems, and build strong customer relationships while servicing customers throughout the area.

What You'll Do

As a Field Service Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain multifunction printers (MFPs), copiers, and laser printers at customer locations.
  • Perform break/fix service calls and scheduled preventative maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Install, configure, and set up new copier and printer equipment.
  • Configure (or willing to learn) basic network connectivity, including print drivers, scan-to-email, scan-to-folder, IP addressing, and network printing.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, software, and network-related printing issues.
  • Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Replace mechanical and electrical components using proper diagnostic procedures and hand tools.
  • Accurately document service work, parts used, diagnostics, and completed work orders in our service management system.
  • Maintain an organized vehicle inventory and manage daily service calls efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, providing clear updates and delivering outstanding on-site customer service.
  • Work independently while receiving support from an experienced technical team.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience servicing MFP copiers, copiers, printers, multifunction devices, or office equipment.
  • 3-5 years of field service experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, related technical experience, or vocational training are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer networking knowledge, including IP addresses, printer drivers, Windows printing, and scanning setup—or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and service documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Experience working on major office equipment brands is a plus, including:
