Job description

As a Project Manager - Lead within the Data Management Business Unit, you will lead Data Management and Analytics projects to success, work closely with the technical delivery and account management team to (1) Ensure customer satisfaction and drive successful outcomes (2) Ensure project healthiness across multiple metrics (3) Help sell/position additional work for the company. Develop integrated project plans, act as primary customer contact for projects. Participate in or develop mechanisms for establishing, monitoring and integrating projects. Use various analyses, other performance measures and risk assessments to manage implementations or to recommend change. Negotiate program and project changes and incorporate changes into project change processes to maintain statements of work, cost and schedule baselines. Lead and direct a remote project team to be successful.
This position will focus on delivery of solutions inside our Data Management/Analytics business unit.
Candidates with working knowledge of delivering solutions to clients using one or more of the following preferred; Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure), Business Intelligence, Analytics, ETL or Data Integration, Reporting and related technologies as well as being familiar with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.
Candidates must have project successes of turning complex business challenges into technical solutions.
 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing cross functional projects for clients
  • Oversee project budget and driving course corrections to maintain such, for items within your control
  • Able to organize internal business groups to manage and implement projects to scope while managing customer expectation
  • Simultaneously manage a portfolio of unrelated projects and provide transparency into progress to client and Datavail management
  • Tailor a project management approaches to the type/size of project using various techniques including Agile and waterfall
  • Develop integrated schedule including critical path and ensures assigned resources are executing as planned
  • Must have the ability to multitask and enhance a team environment
  • Monitor, track, and control change to the projects through formal change control management of requirements, configuration, performance measures, cost, schedule, program organization structure, and technology environment (release schedules, infrastructure changes, etc.)
     

Education/Experience:
 

  • 10 or more years Project/Program Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 4 years managing Data Management, Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse projects within a cloud or on-prem environment
  • Must have experience and be adept and leading globally sourced project teams as we use a global delivery model
  • Bachelor's degree, Business or Technical or a related field of study
  • 10 years professional services experience with leading projects for external or internal customers
    Data Warehouse or Analytics project implementation experience required
  • PMP or Agile implementation methodology experience

  • Hands-on / roll sleeves up work ethic, team player willing to take on work needed for project to succeed, willing to go beyond the project management role if needed (help create documents, presentations, etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to interface and report status with client leadership (C-Suite)
