What You Will Do:

  • Conduct original research and develop deep distributed reinforcement learning (RL) training systems tailored for the complex gameplay features of Varsapura.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the requirements of gameplay features and ensure machine learning algorithms are effectively integrated into the design.
  • Take ownership of research project roadmaps, collaborating with engineers to iterate on feature requirements and managing risk for production deployment and maintenance.
  • Explore and implement advanced techniques in asset processing to ensure high-quality and optimized assets for the game development cycle.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and data compression, applying these technologies to improve the overall gaming experience.


What We Are Looking For:

  • MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or 8+ years of equivalent high-level research experience.
  • Strong background in applied machine learning with an expertise on reinforcement learning algorithms
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing reinforcement learning tasks from end to end; project experience involving 3D environments, complex action space and spatial reasoning is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++, and expertise with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience working in game development with a strong understanding of gameplay systems, and real-time constraints.
  • Familiarity with distributed training on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including experience debugging performance and managing large-scale experiments.
  • Solid knowledge of asset processing pipelines, including 3D modeling, texturing, and animation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Record of publications or contributions to the machine learning and computer vision communities.


Benefits:

The base pay range for this position is $180,000 to $300,000 USD per year. Actual pay is based on location and may vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience from the candidate.
