Duties
Help
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of a full range of Information Technology customer support services to the organization, including system hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Secures and manages cloud-native apps and devices. Configures and protects mobiles, desktops, servers, and virtual endpoints. Simplifies cross-device management with modern security.
  • Maintains and upgrades physical and virtual servers. Monitors performance, manages user accounts, and sets permissions. Implements security measures to ensure secure access control within organizational IT systems.
  • Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, and operating procedures, ensuring optimal functionality and operability of systems.
  • Conducts both formal and informal training for customers to enhance their skills and understanding.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Must possess (within 6mo of employment) and maintain applicable Computing Environment certificates of training and a minimum Information Assurance baseline security certification of Security+ equivalent (or higher) in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Information Assurance Technical, Level II technicians, and DoDM 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce within 6 months of hire date.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, to include a physical assessment, Tier III investigation, and Special Agreement Checks.

Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Specialized IT experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training or IT certification which demonstrates skill in applying:
  • Principles and methods for integrating information systems components.
  • Performance tuning tools and techniques.
  • System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques.
  • Systems administration methods.
  • Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services.
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components.
  • Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers.
  • Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.
  • IT security principles.

OR
Completion of a master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems management, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours as indicated above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate IT-related experience which addresses the following four competencies:
  • Attention to detail - Such as implementing quality control procedures and conducting compliance reviews.
  • Customer service - Such as providing assistance to both internal and external customers; assessing customers' needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Verbal communication - Such as conducting formal presentations or training to audiences at varying levels of hierarchy and technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills - Such as identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

NOTE: The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application.
Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria.
  • Three or more years of hands-on professional IT and system administration experience, including customer support and enterprise IT operations, peripherals, and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
  • Three or more years of experience managing and troubleshooting Windows-based operating systems, servers, and Local Area Networks LANs).
  • Two or more years of experience installing, configuring, and testing PC hardware, peripherals, and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
  • Experience supporting specialized MWR systems such as CYMS or RecTrac.

Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.
Education
Education requirements as stated in the Assessment Questionnaire.
