Do you love building systems that turn student data into clear, actionable insights?
Do you get energized implementing technology that helps schools run smarter and smoother?
Do you enjoy simplifying complex processes into reliable workflows educators can trust?
Do you want your work to directly support students by reducing administrative barriers?

The Austin Centers for Exceptional Students (ACES) is looking for a Student Information Systems (SIS) Analyst to help design and manage the data systems that power our schools. Join us in building reliable, scalable infrastructure that supports educators and improves outcomes for students across our network.

About ACES

ACES is a private special education day school network serving students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. Guided by The ACES Way, we combine high expectations, structured supports, and strong relationships to unlock student potential. With campuses across the Phoenix metro area and Denver, our multidisciplinary teams deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction and therapeutic support. As we grow, we're investing in stronger systems and data infrastructure to ensure every decision is backed by accurate, timely information.

Role and Responsibilities

You'll lead the transition to and ongoing management of PowerSchool, ensuring our SIS is accurate, compliant, and built to support both daily operations and long-term growth. Working closely with school leaders and operational teams, you'll ensure student data flows seamlessly across enrollment, scheduling, attendance, and reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Lead implementation and configuration of PowerSchool aligned to organizational needs
  • Oversee migration from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy and continuity
  • Build and optimize workflows for enrollment, scheduling, grading, and reporting
  • Partner with school leaders on rostering, course setup, and academic records
  • Establish consistent data entry standards across campuses
  • Serve as the go-to expert for troubleshooting, support, and system improvements
  • Ensure compliance with Arizona and Colorado reporting requirements
  • Support integrations with other systems and analyze data quality
  • Train staff and create clear, practical documentation

Who You Are

You're a systems-minded problem solver who enjoys creating clarity out of complexity. You understand how strong data systems empower educators-and you take pride in building tools that make their work easier and more effective. You also have:

  • 3-7 years of experience with SIS, edtech, or data systems
  • Strong experience with PowerSchool (preferred)
  • Background in Information Systems, EdTech, Data Analytics, or similar
  • Knowledge of scheduling, rostering, reporting, and system configuration
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement
  • Clear communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for school teams
  • Experience in K-12 environments (preferred)

We Offer
  • A chance to lead a high-impact, organization-wide system implementation
  • A collaborative, mission-driven team environment
  • Opportunities for growth in education technology and systems leadership
  • Comprehensive benefits supporting health, wellness, and work-life balance
  • A purpose-driven culture focused on student success

Apply

If you're excited about building systems that help schools operate better and support students more effectively, we'd love to hear from you. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds who are passionate about making a meaningful impact.
