Position Overview

The Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team as a Remote Therapist specializing in therapeutic services for children and families. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a profound impact on the lives of young individuals facing developmental disabilities and other challenges. Our ideal candidate is a bilingual therapist fluent in either Spanish or Portuguese, possessing a passion for supporting youth and their families.

Work Environment

As a Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Healing Mind and Soul Center, you will deliver services through a telehealth platform, allowing you to connect with clients in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions via telehealth, focusing on improving coping mechanisms and social skills.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches to manage behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
  • Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to create and sustain a comprehensive support network for families.
  • Prepare and submit accurate documentation within established time frames, which includes intake assessments, treatment plans, and regular progress notes.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss case updates, share recommendations, and coordinate care strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically targets children aged 3 to 20 who experience a range of developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will engage with a diverse population, employing compassionate and personalized approaches tailored to the specific needs of each child and their families. The role's versatility allows you to advocate for families, helping them navigate their challenges while fostering an environment of respect, understanding, and healing.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A valid and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Oregon.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during critical after-school hours (4-7 pm), with additional weekend availability considered a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support and therapeutic interventions to youth with varied needs.
  • Prior clinical experience directly working with children and families impacted by intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate occasional on-site visits if required.
  • Criminal background clearance, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and trust of our clients.
Compensation and Benefits
