Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using approaches tailored to each client's needs, ensuring a client-centered focus in all interactions.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of mental health disorders, collaboratively creating individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and outcomes.
  • Engage clients in targeted goal-setting discussions, regularly monitoring progress through follow-up sessions and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize mental health outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, employing therapeutic techniques and appropriate referrals to ensure that clients receive immediate and effective support when in distress.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and ethical practice standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in client records.
  • Pursue continuous professional development through workshops, training sessions, and networking opportunities, staying abreast of the latest research and therapeutic methods in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse array of clients, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting struggles, and trauma. As an LMFT, you will play a crucial role in guiding these clients toward recovery and resilience, empowering them to navigate their difficulties and fostering positive familial and interpersonal dynamics.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Illinois.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of direct clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Extensive knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with specific client populations, such as children, adolescents, or individuals dealing with trauma.
  • A background in community mental health systems, programs, or initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital communication tools to facilitate effective remote therapy sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
